The course aims to provide to the students

• The necessary basic knowledge to understand the behavior of atmosphere and oceans
• The conceptual tools to analyze meteorological and oceanographic processes and their effect on the environment, by means of an integrated vision of the fundamental physical processes occurring in atmosphere and oceans.
• The ability to understand instrumental techniques, contribute to the measurement campaigns, analyze oceanographic and meteorological data.

The acquired skills will provide access to scientific literature and allow to critically evaluate information and available data on meteorological and marine events. In general, the course aims to provide students with reading skills of mathematical formulas and mathematical formalization of physical processes.
