TEACHING

Master's degree in environmental science

The course describes the mass and energy balance for the various components of the climate system (atmosphere, oceans, cryosphere, continents) at various scales (regional and global) and the circulation in the atmosphere and ocean at global and regional scale. It analyzes the factors responsible for the variation of the climate in time and in space, the spaces temporal variability of solar radiation, the greenhouse effect, the hydrological cycle. The course includes a general review of the physics of atmosphere and oceans, and of the characteristics of their motions.
